Vegan Caesar Salad: A Historical Dish As Vegan Salad
A true classic among salads is the Caesar salad. The origin of this dish has nothing to do with the Roman emperor Julius Caesar, but with the American chef Caesar Cardini. He invented the salad in 1924 when unexpectedly more guests came to his restaurant and his regular dishes were sold out. Then he had to improvise with the ingredients he still had and lo and behold, the Caesar salad was born. This is now one of the most popular salads and all kinds of variations have been devised. One is a plant-based version, or the Vegan Caesar Salad .
